I thought starting a food business would be simple—make good food, people show up, right?
Wrong. Most days, I’d prep for hours just to watch people walk by without even looking. By the end of the day, I’d pack up unsold food and wonder what I was doing with my life.
I didn’t really have anyone to talk to about it. Friends didn’t get it, and I didn’t want to hear, “Maybe you should quit.” So, I just kept going. I listened when customers gave feedback, changed up the menu, and figured out how to waste less.
Some days are still rough, but now, people come back, tell me they love what I’m making, and sometimes, I even sell out early. It’s far from perfect, but I’m finally starting to feel like this might work.
